The 2018 WSIA Summit, held in Steamboat Springs, CO., brought together all aspects that make up the water sports industry. Heads from industry associations, manufacturers, dealers and more descended on the world-renowned ski town to discuss best practices and the state of the water sports industry. Some of the largest issues addressed were waterway access protection and ensuring equal and fair access to public waterways across the nation.

The final night of the Summit concluded with the WSIA Leadership Awards to recognize the best of the water sports industry. Malibu Boats was awarded an Innovation of the Year award for the all-new MaxBallast L-Shaped Ballast Tanks, Malibu & Axis sales managers Chris Loomis & Nate Reid were recognized as Sales Rep of the Year finalists and Malibu & Axis dealer Boulder Boats walked away with the Marine Dealer of the Year award with owners Stuart and Kristina Litjens giving a moving acceptance speech.

The WSIA Summit, as always, was not only informational and impactful, it was a fun time spent together as a water sports community.
