POWER WEDGE® III OVERVIEW
Malibu's Power Wedge® III is a patented, hydraulically-deployed reverse hydrofoil mounted at the stern that adjusts the length and height of your wakes & waves by adjusting the pitch of the boat, instantly adding up to 1,500 pounds of simulated ballast and simultaneously helping to get you on the plane faster.
HOW DOES POWER WEDGE® III WORK?
Power Wedge® III makes it easy to customize the wake experience, allowing you to instantly adjust the height, length, and shape of the wave with 6 different settings.
When activated on the Malibu Command Center™ or via the rider's Surf Band®, the Power Wedge® III reverse hydrofoil hydraulically deploys downwards into one of six different possible positions below the boat, from its default position on the transom. As it deploys, the back of the boat drops farther into the water, immediately increasing the size of the wake or wave behind the boat.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR WAVE
As you adjust Power Wedge® III into a lower setting, your wake or wave face will get longer and more mellow without losing any size. That means that with only a single screen tap, you can create clean, long waves or clean, short waves, without the need for draining or adding ballast.
The Power Wedge® III also allows for real-time adjustments. Whether you're in motion or stationary, you can modify the wave settings instantly, giving you the flexibility to adapt to the changing preferences of surfers or varying water conditions.
Depending on your riding experience, style, and preference, you can choose between six different settings to manipulate the wake or wave for your perfect riding session.
As you increase your Power Wedge settings, the wave will get steeper with more push for arial maneuvers. For example. settings such as 1 and 2 will help you create the longest and most mellow wave whereas settings such. as 5 or 6 will help you create a steeper wave. There is no "right or wrong" setting to pick — it all depends on your riding preference and style.

SAVE GAS WITH LIFT MODE: EXPLAINED
Power Wedge® III also offers a position called Lift Mode.
The Power Wedge® III system automatically goes into Lift Mode to get the boat on plane more quickly when your speed is set above surf speed, allowing it to run more efficiently. By improving the boat’s planing efficiency, it reduces drag and conserves fuel. In other words, by getting you on plane faster, Power Wedge® III saves gas.
However, as an option, when you’re going at speeds under 26 miles per hour, you can opt to select Lift Mode from the Malibu Command Center™ to make the wake smaller and more approachable for beginners riders and skiers.
Rest assured that whether you choose to make the wake big or small, your wake or wave is still going to have that perfect Malibu shape regardless.

Surf Band®
The Malibu Surf Band® is one of our most revolutionary Malibu technologies. Surf Band® is a wearable accessory that connects wirelessly to the Malibu Command Center and allows the rider to make instant adjustments to the wave, while they're riding.
Its intuitive design boasts eight rubberized buttons making it safe and easy to transfer the wake, raise or lower the wave's height, adjust the volume of the music in the tower, and even adjust the boat's speed.
